joseph r. mazzone is the second oldest of thirteen children, growing up in the “Little Italy” section of Chicago on the near west side. He is married to the lovely Sunny and has three wonderful children, Tricia, William and Joseph, along with two beautiful granddaughters, Jenna and Kate. Joe attended St Ignatius College Preparatory High School and attended college at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He then attended the John Marshall Law School graduating with a Juris Doctorate degree in 1979. He volunteered for the United States Army being honorably discharged as a Military Police Officer in October, 1971. Joe was a police officer with the Romeoville Police Department, then served as a Special Agent with the Illinois Bureau of Investigation. He was a prosecutor for the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office leaving that office in 1984. Joe then joined the Schenk Law Firm becoming a partner in 1988. His practice concentrates in the fields of Labor and Employment Law. Joe is proud of his long term relationship with the Metropolitan Alliance of Police and Joseph Andalina, its President, having represented this Union for the past twenty-five years.
